Franklin Delano Roosevelt served as a primary strategist in the effort to rid the world of German National Socialism and Japanese militarism in World War II. Franklin D. Roosevelt, by name FDR, was born in 1882 and died in 1945. He was the president of the United States and the only President to be elected into office four times (1933-45).
